Heather Gunter is an articling student at Ruby Shiller Enenajor DiGiuseppe, Barristers who recently graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Common Law.
While in law school, she worked as a research assistant and research coordinator in Indigenous, Aboriginal, and constitutional law. She worked on community-led land-based projects involving water, treaties, governance, and Indigenous justice. She also worked at a community legal aid clinic, where she assisted clients with matters before the Social Benefits Tribunal. Heather volunteered with ACORN Canada researching issues involving low-income tenant law, and with StreetSmart, developing workshops informing street-involved and marginalized youth of their legal rights.
Before attending law school, Heather completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at McMaster University
